CYBERWELLNESS - As youth are increasingly spending time online, Generasi Gemilang will address many issues both parents and students face such as gaming-addicition, cyber-bullying, the dangers of pornography, and how to respect and maintain one’s privacy in everything from blogs and e-mails to Facebook and other forms of social media. Parents will be able to discuss these issues openly and address them accordingly. Creating an open and healthy cyber culture that families can share with one another.
Cyberwellness is a two-fold approach. Coming from the Cybergeneration itself, are people who will address these issues from a standpoint of experience, understanding and relevance. And on the other hand, approaching them from a standpoint of balance, reality and a wholesome lifestyle.
Targeted audience are ADULTS - Parents, Youth Ministry Leaders, Children Church & Kid’s Kingdom Teachers; and will approach issues from different viewpoints and methods. With the increase of technology, the need for a balanced lifestyle continues to grow
Speaker: keith woo
Keith serves as Program Director for Project Generasi Gemilang. As an avid programmer, blogger, psychologist, social networker, researcher and aspiring comedian, he engages ‘Cyberwellness’ in hopes of challenging society to become healthy users in today’s tech-savvy cyberworld.
He believes in sowing into the young because they are the future and sowing into the ‘mature’ because they raise the parents of tomorrow. Joining up with Generasi Gemilang, he hopes to produce a better future in his own small ways.
